Meltsner Receives First Holstein Award
Eugene Meltsner, graduate
student at Campbell College and employee of Whit's End, was the first
recipient of the newly established Holstein Grant at an awards ceremony.
Meltsner was given a cash gift by Frederick Holstein, owner of Holstein's
Books, for his developmental work on a computer inventory program. Meltsner
accepted the gift on behalf of all future recipients. Holstein said after
the ceremony that "investing in the minds of these good students is also an
investment in the minds of readers everywhere, who in turn invest in the
future of our generations without whom we would have nothing to look forward
to."
