From Where I Sit

For the first time in my newspaper career, I
no longer have to worry about finances and trying to get by from week to
week. As you've probably heard, The Odyssey Times was purchased by a media
conglomerate.
The Times has been a special part of my life for nearly as long as I can
remember and I feel like I have been running at a breakneck speed for the
entire time. I barely had time to think about the next week's issues, let
alone what was going to happen in the future.
And I loved every minute of it.
Keeping up with what happened in our town, getting to know all the people,
informing the public of everything that happened...I can truly say that I
wouldn't change a thing about it.
I will stay on here at the Times as editor, but I can now relax a bit and
put the keys to the newspapers in the hands of others. You can expect the
same high-quality of news reporting and the same assurance that our
reporters are serving you. I look forward to serving the Times for
many years to come.
