From Where I Sit

Ah, summer in Odyssey. What a beautiful time.
Bright, sunny days, gorgeous clouds at sunset, and warm sunning evenings. We
live in a beautiful part of the country…so beautiful, in fact, that we often
forget to notice it.
Getting caught in the daily grind is something of which I have often been
guilty. I get so busy with work that I ignore all the blessings in my life.
I recently spent several months away from Odyssey and returned have an
incredible realization-this place is really and truly my favorite place on
earth. I think that God often uses our time away from what we know to show
us how wonderful our home really can be.
It's the fulfillment of the old adage: "You never know how much you'll miss
something until you lose it." How true. And what good counsel to appreciate
what we have while we have it.
