Candid Conversations with Connie scores high ratings
The most popular radio show in town, "Candid
Conversations with Connie" scored some of its highest rated programming ever
last week doing a segment on "bugs." The weekly Odyssey Times radio poll
showed that the program hosted by Connie Kendall was very highly listened to
during a discussion of a bug collection owned by a local Odyssey Middle-Schooler,
Alex Jefferson.
"We were just talking about Alex's Malaysian Beetle when the phone calls
just started coming in," says Kendall. "People were very interested in what
Alex had to say about these creatures. To tell you the truth, I think bugs
are a little bit gross, but evidently the people in Odyssey don't all
agree."
When the phones started lighting up, Alex started a question and answer
segment about the habits of his bugs. "The most interesting bug I have is
this one that just walks in a circle all day," Alex said in answer to one
question. Alex's cousin, Cal Jordan, also in the studio responded by saying,
"It's sorta like a top except you don't have to wind it up."
