A 60-minute broadcast presents a series of simulated "news bulletins", which suggested to many listeners that an actual alien invasion by Martians was currently in progress on Grover's Mill.
     
It Happened at Four Corners
"Logan Smiler" recklessly speeds past Eugene and Bernard on their road trip, crashes, and inspires the duo (moments before his death) to look for a legendary underground river of gold. Greed overcomes Bernard and Eugene as they race to find the treasure.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (film)
"Smiler" Grogan dangerously passes some vehicles in the winding mountains and crashes. "Smiler" tells his rescuers about $350,000 buried in a box in a state park. The characters in the story find themselves in a mad dash to get to the money first.
