At the age of fifty five and a Christian for
thirty eight years, I have been a exCatholic for the past
fifteen years. I am not at all anti Catholic and have on
more than one occasion come to its defense in various men's
groups through my Promise Keepers days. This being said, I
was sort of surprised, and even more delighted, with this
episode. A Christian monastery in the United States is
either Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox. This setting was
presented as a very viable and acceptable place of prayer,
contemplation, study and, if so called, life. From one who
has made many retreats to such places (Conyers, GA), I want
to thank you for all of my Catholic friends and family and
for an episode that supports this aspect of the Christian
faith.
