While this adventure is a Blackgaard
episode, it doesn't really have the excitement and danger a Blackgaard
episode normally has. Not to say I don't like it, because I do! I knew
what this episode was about before I heard it, I hadn't really spoiled
it for myself, but I did know that Blackgaard was going to show up
sooner or later. After Connie mentioned him, I hoped that Richard would
show up too. I wasn't sure what to think about agent Phillips, he seemed
a little weird. Finding out that he was working with Blackgaard was an
interesting twist! The ending was very unpredictable as well, but the
recording Whit and Richard left on the computer was pretty cheesy. The
writers did a good job of bringing Dr. Blackgaard back into the story,
and a computer with government secrets on it is definitely something he
would want to get his hands on. "Waylaid in the Windy City" is a very
good adventure, just not as good as other Blackgaard episodes.
