Qumran
With Me
The
crystal clear water lay there gazing up at me,
Its
many wet drops moving with the gentle current.
It
makes me think of the time I rushed out of the caves of greed,
A
wave of brisk thoughts filled my mind,
Qumran
with me, Qumran with me.
Through
the deep heather I tread, the night sky revealing its golden nightlight
As
I move ahead through the thick brush and covered path.
I
remember when I wanted you, I needed you,
I
needed you, I needed you,
Qumran
with me, Qumran with me.
I
wanted you and I didn't care,
I
knew I couldn't have you but I didn't care.
My
mind rushed back and forth, imagining the things of this world I could have
with you,
But
instead of you, another treasure was my prize, which I really could care
less.
Where
are you now?
Qumran
with me, Qumran with me.
I
told myself it wasn't fair,
I
asked myself why this would happen but you didn't care,
I
planned and plotted but you were still there.
The
treasure I sought disappointed me,
Qumran
with me, Qumran with me.
Then
one day my mind raced around in a sea of torment, leaving me to find you.
I
looked in every place, until I found your leather binding buried in a layer
of dust
Just
like my mind had been buried for years.
I
thank Him who gave me my treasure now because He says
Qumran
with Me, Qumran with Me.
