Whitney Rydbeck

Whitney Rydbeck is best known as
'Whitney' in the children's show Whitney and the
Robot which ran for a decade Saturday mornings on
KNBC in the Los Angeles area. A gifted mime and
impersonator, Rydbeck is known for his impersonation of
comedian Jack Benny - an act which he has been
developing ever since his teenage years when he ran home
from church to watch The Jack Benny Show. He has
played on many Los Angeles stages in such productions as
Drood, How the Other Half Loves,
Candida, The Orphan's Revenge, Sugar,
and Clothespins and Dreams. He has also been a
member of the L.A. Mime Company and the Richmond Shepard
Mime Theatre. He teaches theatre arts at Pasadena City
College and is a part-time photographer. Whitney plays
minor roles for Adventures in Odyssey, including
Mr. Pearle (Count
It All Joy) and Mr. Lyle (The
Mysterious Stranger).
