January/February 2002: Turning on a computer isn't that hard. Just press this round button thingy here. (Translate into Eugene's words)

Jared Walczak, Age 15, www.odysseyradio.com

The common task of supplying electrical power to an analytical device commonly known as the computer, most commonly of the personal variety as opposed to the more sizable computing devices often found in places of occupation, as it were, and usually of the Windows Operating System variety - which up until recently always resided on a base DOS system, albeit new innovation has brought an operating system no longer based on the Windows 9x kernal - in an attempt to render this fine machine ready for operation is truly quite simple and very straightforward and should not pose any difficulty or cause undo stress, which is a condition felt by many in this country, nay, citizens of the entire earth, that are unnecessarily overwhelmed by the great mass of technology, that extraordinary power compacted so superbly in this wonderful blend of metal, wire and plastic, designs so exquisitely by the world's greatest masterminds and meticulously combed for errors in some of the most comprehensive studies known to man. The only task which must be completed to attain this end is to depress the circular button located upon the computer's chassis, release slowly and gently - nay, lovingly - in order to assure that your computer will grace your quarters through the ever passing time, and watch, yes, watch as your fine machine begins cycling her CPU, starting at your whim, preparing to do your bidding. In mere moments, the great machine you call a computer will be ready for full operation to perform the tasks of your choosing.

Shadowpaw

To initiate the capabilities of this computer is not as perplexing as one would assume.  Simply exert pressure on the button presented on the interface of the tower here.

Trina, IL, trinameltzner@yahoo.com, www.geocities.com/aioinfo

Although some people think that turning on a computer is rather difficult I have quite a different opinion. It's really rather simple, you simply press the power button on your CPU and your computer will check your C drive, check for system errors in your A drive, and do a memory back up.

Susetta Yoder, MS, gracefulily@hotmail.com

The process by which one instigates computer activity, is, in reality, an overtly rudimentary procedure. Simply exert slight pressure on the protuberance housed in the protective, rectangular case.

DrBlackgaard, Iowa, joseph@aiobc.com, www.aiobc.com

Powering on an electronic instrument, such as a computer (a 700Mhz, computer with a 20 gigabyte hard drive, and 64,000 bytes of ram, to be precise) is not at all a lengthy, of complicated process. It only requires you to apply pressure to this small round object, which is connected to the plunger of a switch, imbedded inside of the sturdy plastic atx computer housing, which happens to be a 1998 design, and can hold up to 5 drives simultaneously! (Sorry about the spelling Jacob! I can't spell small words, much LESS ones that Eugene uses!)

Tristarie (MermaidEvie's sister)

Inputting energy in an electrical form into a computing device does not take an excessive amount of exertion. Merely apply pressure to the button located on the lateral area of the metal rectangular prism containing the central processing unit.

Joshua Shelly, MI, shellyfamily@yahoo.com, www.odysseyradio.com

Operating the latest technological machine is hardly complex. Simply make contact with the plastic button.

December 2001: "What are your opinions on the new season of AIO so far? Compare it to last season. Which do you think is better? Which episode do you like the best so far?"

AIOfan, Age 15, Alabama, AIOfan@aol.com

I have liked the new season pretty well, and I'd say it's fairly comparable to last season's.

Well let's see... I really didn't like the following episodes:

Shining Armour
The Popsicle Kid

I loved:

Strange Boy
Happy Smilers

that is all

Jared Walczak, Age 15, jared@jaredwalczak.com, www.aioweb.com

I write this short piece to cause a short peace.  What do I mean?  I never know what I mean.  Actually, I have been pressured to write this by the webmaster of this website on which you are now browsing.  I think.

Anyways, what do I think of the new seasoning?  It certainly adds some flavor to something that used to be quite bland.  Oh, I read wrong.   New SEASON.  Well, it certainly adds some flavor to something that used to be quite bland.   Really.  I am so thankful that we did not hear more from that wise and caring Whit - Animatronic beta version .085 or whatever it may now be.

But then again, Animatronic Whit is useful and fun.  Wouldn't it be fun to take a sledge hammer and get rid of stress on this metal fake?  Sorry, wrong topic.   I must be really stressed right now.  My apologies for getting so...angry.

Anyways, its nice to hear some fresh episodes.  Shining Armor, while not an all time favorite of mine, was very well done and quite interesting.  Likewise with Strange Boy in a Strange Land; those episodes are tied for my favorite of the season. "But wait," you shout.  "Animatronic Whit" was two seasons ago, not last season."   And you would be right.  And you would have taken a while to figure this out.  So, last season.  What was it like? Good. Yep, good.  Fun, enjoyable, sometimes exciting. What will this season be like?  Hard to tell this early, but I hope it will be... Thrilling. We've seen a good start so far, and while we have seen a lull in the excitement with Happy Smilers and The Popsicle Kid (at least in my opinion), things ought to start heating up now!  I think that we are within reality in hoping for 2002 to be a golden year for Adventures in Odyssey. Dr. Blackgaard?  Darkness Before Dawn?  Forget 'em.  Novacom is in town.  This coming year, Odyssey will eclipse everything it has ever achieved.  And Odyssey writers, please don't let me down!

November 2001: "Do you have any comments/questions/suggestions since I redesigned this website? Anything I need to change?"

Tenjiee, tenjiee@hotmail.com
You need to have more trivia and more than one poll at a time. It's great! I like Contests most! And if you need to change anything, you need to have more Wheel of Fortune or contests. :-)

What do I like most? The Send this Mail Button at the bottom of this forum...

Well, maybe not...

Maybe the Extra Extra written by some guy named Jared...well, never mind. It's pretty stupid...

Maybe the whole site is pretty good. Maybe I really like the new design, and like all the games, contests and interaction.

Maybe.

Then again, maybe I prefer things to be boring, lifeless, stale...

I still really like the daily (or near-daily) updates. That's got to be one of the best features of this site.

As for most scary part of this site (that wasn't a question? I just made it one)... It's got to be the Webmaster page. All those funny pictures. And, to quote that page: "Keep in mind that I'm not wearing my glasses in this photo." You must understand that I do not have the ability to keep things in mind anymore. My mind has been deteriorating rapidly for 15 years (coincidentally, that's how long I've been alive).

Overall, very good site.

So far I love the Novacom saga. Great eps. Who do I think AREM is? Well... I think it's Katrina and Eugene... Then the new bad guy... I don't know, but I don't think they are new.

Comments on "What is your favorite album of all time?"

Corey, IA, coreyj@whitsend.znn.com
Darkness Before Dawn; DBD is in AIO's peak. They had never reached it before and they have not reached it since (although the new story arc has the possibility of being better). I love how the suspense just builds and builds and builds to its awesome climax. I love it. Also THE TIME HAS COME is also the best conversion episode I have ever heard. A LITTLE CREDIT PLEASE didn't really fit into the album, but I guess they needed something to fill the void. It's not that bad of an episode, just not as good as the rest of the album. My second favorite album is "Risks and Rewards." Third is "Days to Remember."

Hidden Treasures; There is much excitement. Eugene and Katrina have to get married now that Malachi said it.

Phillip Glossman, MI, 13, chriswise@iavbbs.com
Darkness Before Dawn; It has some of my favorite episodes.

Comments on "How often do you listen to Adventures in Odyssey?

Jennifer, Age 18, Montana
Eugene and Katrina should get married or we should at least hear something about their relationship. I definitely think something should happen with Connie and Mitch (from Novacom) also. I would also like to hear something about the Barclays even if it is just a mention about what they are doing.

Dave, www.geocities.com/aio_kid/Everythingodyssey.html

Seven times a week.

Comments on "What do you think should happen first in the Spring 2001 season?"

Jacob, Age 15, Ohio, www.geocities.com/odysseyscoop

Marry Eugene and Katrina already! Also continue all that Novacom stuff. Odyssey is actually starting to be interesting again!

~Something involving Eugene ~ Haven't heard from him since Spring 2000
~More about Amy and Josh- they seem like a promising family (Did Josh's dad die or leave?

Our Response: It wasn't said directly, but I am guessing that Josh's dad died. I guess we'll all find out when the time comes!
