The State of Things...

  • Historically, Odyssey cannot be located in Washington. In The Ill-Gotten Deed, Whit reads a book, with the first line explaining that Odyssey was founded in the early 1800's. Washington was not a state during this time. Odyssey cannot be located in Washington, according to history's standards.

  • If traveling by train, it is a day's journey from Chicago to Odyssey. (Train Ride) If this is true, then it would be awfully difficult to take a train ride from Washington to Chicago in a day's time.

  • In The Truth About Zachary, Zachary Sellars and his mom move from a city called Richland. Richland is a well-known city in Washington. However not enough clues are given to prove that Odyssey is or is not located in Washington. Another monkey wrench in the works is that another episode, All-Star Witness, mentions Richland as well. Ashley Jenkins mentions that scouts from Briarhurst Academy in Richland go to the All-Star game for the Odyssey Little League. This indicates that the Richland in Washington and the Richland near Odyssey are two separate cities. Odyssey, in fact, resides near a city near Richland.
