How long have you been a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?

I've been a fan of Odyssey for forever... Well, actually since I was four years old. Before that we lived in Indiana, where there are no good radio stations, and even if there were I don't think we even had a radio. Anyway, I was four when we moved here and there happened to be this radio station called BBN and we could hear AIO. Back then, of course, I really couldn't understand the storylines, so I think we mostly listened for our parent's sake. :-) Now we listen online. The reception is better.

What is your favorite episode of all time?

You want me to CHOOSE????? Seriously, though, um... Well, I really like Back to Bethlehem, and The Star (its sequel) is good too... And of course, I like all the ones with Richard Maxwell in them and the entire Darkness Before Dawn series... But then, some of the new ones like Green Eyes, Yellow Tulips were great too. I guess for the most part I love them all.

What is your favorite AIO web site?

Here again you have me between a rock and a hard place. I really can't say, because I can't go to all of them. I would say the Scoop is right up there, but the Soda Fountain used to be good to, before my internet filter started blocking it...

If you could meet one actor, who would you meet and why?

Oh, definitely Steve Burns. He sounds like such an interesting person, and he's been there forever!

Which character do you resemble the most and why?

I'm a lot like Connie, in that I'm always taking people wrong and thinking they are criticizing me when they aren't really, but I have the tendency to use long words and correct people's grammar like Eugene. Unfortunately, the kids aren't very much like me; or else I'm not like them.

Who is your favorite character and why?

I love Richard Maxwell for his quips and happy-go-lucky style. He's funny and smart at the same time. Other characters I like are Whit, Connie, Eugene, and Mitch, in that order.

In your opinion, what do I need to change about my website?

More Extra! Extra! articles, and put the cool front page logo on all of the pages. (A lot of work, I know, but you asked :-D)

If you could change anything about AIO, what would it be and why?

Whit should stay Whit. Odyssey is losing its homey feel. I was embarrassed for Whit when he pretended to chase Wooton and Talia at the lake; it just wasn't his style. Perhaps they need to shave off the extra writers and go with Paul McCusker and Marshall Younger. Also, more people need to just wander into Whit's End, instead of arriving for a business meeting. I remember when Mr. Barclay would just come in because he liked it, not even to find out where Jimmy and Donna were. I wish it were still like that. One last thing: let's drop WE Connellsville!

How do you imagine Whit's End and the town of Odyssey?

A lot different than in the videos!!! I think my mind pictures are pretty faithful to what we've been told about Whit's End. In the older episodes I get this feeling of a town that has intended to be a town from the start. The roads don't just ramble, but there are blocks laid out and a LOT of trees. Even now when the characters get out in the town you can still feel that.

If you had your own AIO site, what would you put on it?

I have no idea. I like visiting other people's sites and reading what they have to say. One thing I wouldn't put on it are Odyssey game shows. Wheel of Fortune is nice because you can do it at your own speed, but AIO Mole or Survivor are too hard to keep up with, especially if you are like me and have no clue how the original shows work.

What is your favorite section of whitsend.org?

I would like the newspaper if it were ever updated. I mostly go because of the question and answer thing in Wonderworld.

What is your favorite section of the Odyssey Scoop, my site?

I like all of it. I don't think I have even plumbed all of its depths yet. It make for entertaining reading when I'm waiting for updates. :-)

Do you have any comments or questions?

Odyssey is a great show, and those who produce it are wonderful people, but it is not infallible. Especially in the more recent shows I have noticed that even those characters that I thought were unchangeable have begun to change. Most of these changes are saddening. Odyssey would do well to go back to the Bible and look for lessons and then come up with a way to share them, rather than to come up with a story and try to fit a moral in someplace. Hey, we all make mistakes, and the best thing about Odyssey is: it can always go back to what it was. We as fans have already influenced the show by our criticism and praise of it, and I think we will continue to do so, and that is an impressive accomplishment. I can't think of any other major production that not only listens to its fans, but takes into consideration what they say. All in all, Odyssey is a wonderful program and I hope it continues.
