How long have you been
a fan of Adventures in Odyssey?
I first heard about AIO when
I was 9 or 10 but I wasn't really interested in it at first. However, when I was
about 13 I got this weird feeling that I wanted to listen to AIO. So, once I
started, I got addicted! I've heard just about every episode there is! I'm 18
now, and I own every album!
I mean, I am probably the biggest fan in my
house! I have 6 other brothers and sisters and they all know and heard of
Odyssey. But they are always coming to me with questions about the show. Which
is pretty funny.
What is your favorite
Adventures in Odyssey
episode?
That's a hard question because I
like tons of episodes! So, I'll give you some of them and tell you why I like
them. I love "Malachi's Message" because just the thought of angels actually
helping us in this day is incredible! And I believe it happens. I like "Home
sweet Home" because they did a really good job with that one, and of course, Mr.
Whittaker comes back! "Pilgrim's Progress Revisited" was good because it's of
course, a great allegory. "Pamela Has a Problem" was just a strong topic that
needed to be told. "Truth, Trivia & Trina" was great because I love it when
Eugene first meets Katrina. "Green Eyes and Yellow Tulips" was a great way to
introduce Mitch. And "It Is Well" was just amazing and is one of my favorite
hymns!
Who is your favorite
character and why?
I have a lot of favorites, but
Connie is definitely my absolute favorite! I just love her outgoing personality,
the way she talks to the kids around Whit's End, and her zeal for Bible study
and God. Some of the other characters I like are Mr. Whittaker, Bernard, Doris
Rathbone, Aubrey Shepard, Cryin Bryan Dern, Rodney, Katrina, and Jack Allen,
That's not even all of them! But I have to say, I looove Jack Allen! He is
probably my second favorite character.
Which character do you
resemble the most and why?
I would have to say Robyn Jacobs
because we both have younger sisters that can get annoying, and we can be a
little over-dramatic at times. Also, Robyn isn't too much of a girly-girl, but
she can be when she wants to. And sometimes she can get so aggravated that she
just blows up. I do that too. In the immortal words of Robyn (in a rage)
"Where's MY pencil?! How come I can NEVER find my pencil when I need IT?!!!?"
(from "A Test For Robyn")
If you could meet one
actor or actress from the show, who would it be and why?
Well, to tell you the truth, I
have already met the main AIO actors at the AIO Birthday Bash!!! It was amazing!
And a wonderful experience! But if I could only of met one of them it would have
to be Chris Anthony because I really enjoy hearing her at the end of AIO
episodes, and I admire her so much as an actor and Christian. I mean, if there
is any famous person I look up to, it would be Chris. She is so strong in what
she believes and will stand up for that. If I were to do any acting, I would
definitely go about it the way she does. Oh, and I also love that she laughs at
everything! I mean, you can't help but laugh with her. ;)
How do you imagine Whit's
End and the town of Odyssey?
I picture the town as quiet and
peaceful. And I imagine Whit's End looking small on the outside, and really big
on the inside. A place where kids can go and hang out, make new friends, or talk
when they have a problem. Just a place where they are accepted.
If you could change
anything about Adventures in Odyssey, what would it be and why?
Well, first I would make the
Washington family more 'relatable'. They're like the =perfect family and it is
very annoying. But I suppose they can't do much about them anymore... but now
the Parker family is becoming the new "Washingtons", and one thing I have to say
about that is, they need not put the Parkers in every episode. It is
unnecessary, and you can only take so much of one thing. ,Also, I think Chris
Anthony needs to be in an episode as herself. She's been hosting the show for 20
years! So c'mon! I think it's about time for her to have her own episode. I
don't know exactly how it should be but they need to do something.
What is your favorite AIO
website?
I would have to say The Town of
Odyssey (thetoo.com). I get on
there more than any other AIO site. This site (odysseyscoop) and
whitsend.org would be my next
favorites.
What is your favorite part
of visiting The Odyssey Scoop? What keeps you coming back?
The contests, the interviews you
have with the actors. And just all the new "scoops" you find!
In your opinion, what
would you do to improve The Odyssey Scoop?
There really isn't anything you
"need" to change, except maybe update it a little more. And if it's at all
possible, update the pictures. But what would be great is if you started a
forum, so other fans could interact with each other. Other then that, it's a
pretty good website.
If you had your own
Adventures in Odyssey fan site, what would you put on it?
I would have a bunch of pictures
and interviews with the actors! I Also would make a section where people can
review episodes, and a link to other AIO websites, a list of upcoming episodes,
section to listen to past episodes, a chat room so people can talk to other
fans, and AIO trivia and contest section. Oh, and of course, weekly updates with
lots and lots and lots of bloopers from the studio! And inside scoops.
Do you have any last
comments, suggestions, or questions?
Yes, I would like to share
one of my favorite verses:
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who
has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
(Philippians 1:6)
I like this verse because it helps me remember
that God has a plan for all His children, and that you don't have to worry about
what you will be or become because God knows exactly what He's doing. I like to
remember that God will lead me exactly where I need to go.
And also, never give up! At times you may be
thinking to yourself, "I'm not good enough" or "I'll never get to do what I want
to do." But I say, it doesn't matter how good or bad you are at anything. What
matters is the desire you have in your heart to do something. If you really want
something, and have the desire to do it. Then there is nothing stopping you! You
just have to put yourself in there and you can achieve it! Besides, God is
always there to help you.
