This Week's 10th Anniversary Activities
Throughout the week:
John Whittaker and Connie Kendall host "Odyssey Talk" on Kids Radio. Stop by
and tell them how you feel about our town. Daily 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m.
Special service at Odyssey First Church. Pastor George Barclay, visiting
from Pokenberry Falls, will speak on the topic, "What a Difference 10 Years
Makes." To be followed by a potluck lunch on the church grounds. All are
welcome.
Monday: 10 a.m.; 2 p.m.,
5 p.m. Penelope McAllister, descendant of Odyssey founder Hiram
McAllister, will narrate a slide presentation on the town's history in the
main room of the library.
Tuesday: 7 p.m. The
Odyssey Birdwatchers Society will present their all-whistling rendition of
Johann Sebastian Bach's Brandenburg Concertos. To be followed by the
fireworks spectacle "The Last Days of Pompei." Odyssey High School Football
Field.
Thursday - Sunday: 8 p.m.
Harlequin Theatre. R. Edwin Blackgaard presents his one-man show "Come Visit
Our Side of the Radio, A Salute to Adventures in Odyssey." Adults, $12.50;
Children $6.50.
