Novacom and the town of Odyssey go
together as well as a pineapple and a soapy rag. The day Novacom decided to broaden its
horizons and migrate to Odyssey, trouble was about to happen. Little did everyone know
what kinds of events would ensue, nor would they realize what was really going on. From
picketers...to riots...to just plain clashing opinions, Novacom left a new kind of
reputation in Odyssey: immorality.
The company seemed nice enough.
Bulldozing its way kindly through Tom's property to build a radio tower may have been a
mistake that Tom let slip through. Even though Connie's fake flowers were placed
conveniently on the land, was Tom right in selling his land to Novacom? What kinds of
things will happen in the days ahead because of his actions?
Novacom's true reputation spilled out
like a jar of jelly beans. The company rapidly took on a new meaning: bad programming with
violence and immorality at all turns. This sweet "jelly sweet" company wasn't so
sweet after all.
Being the kindhearted, friendly, and
moral town that Odyssey was, the town's people decided to take action, and did they ever!
Bart Rathbone accidentally began a riot that would start the downfall of Odyssey's people.
You can't help but feel sorry for Arthur Dent as he tries to calm the frustrated crowd,
now can you?
Speaking of Arthur
Dent... is he one of the new "bad guys?" If so, is he working with this new
suspicious character who told Barry Muntz to take a couple year vacation? Or is Arthur
just one of the many pawns being moved around on Novacom's chessboard? Thankfully, Bernard
wasn't swept up into it for too long!
Now to the source... is this new
"bad guy" with the creepy voice (like that of Dr. Regis Blackgaard) ahead of
Novacom? Is he using this brainwashed company name to cover up what he's doing in the
background? Things are going downhill in Odyssey, and one must question, "Is 'Mr. X'
ahead of it?" And is he 'AREM'? If Novacom is his ploy to cover up a deeper meaning,
will Novacom become better... or worse? Everyone in Odyssey (surprisingly Bart Rathbone as
well) can notice the downhill tread of Novacom's effect on Odyssey. Will things become
worse?
There's just one other thing to
question. Wouldn't it be weird if 'Mr. X's' real name was 'Novacom' spelled
backwards? That
would make Mocavon (Moe-Caw-Von). It sounds like it could be a real name!
One can question or debate on what will happen to
this unexpectant town of Odyssey all they want, but no one will know until it all happens.
Is someone trying to destroy Odyssey? Is it Dr. Blackgaard? We'll all find out together!
Keep listening!
