Bryan Dern, Odyssey's local shock jock and radio voice for Odyssey 105.
Bryan Dern seems to show up around Odyssey when something significant is
taking place, or when it's time to make fun of someone. Mr. Dern has
worked for Odyssey 105 for years, and he likes what he does. He is an
active atheist, unfortunately, which comes into play when he runs into
Mr. Whittaker and others. Bryan has no problems with offending someone
at the expense of entertainment. He's a famous local radio host who, in
modern day terms, would be considered liberal. He enjoys stirring up
controversy and getting his name in the spotlight. Cryin' Bryan Dern is
one of those people that Odyssey's citizens either like or don't like,
with no in-betweens.
Bryan Dern is very outspoken, rude, and
annoying at times. His arrogance gets on some of his listeners' nerves,
although many people listen to him on Odyssey 105 for that very reason.
He's had his rondezvous with Mr. Whittaker often, usually during times
when Whit held an opposite viewpoint or during the Novacom Saga days.
Even though Bryan Dern is obnoxious,
sarcastic, and selfish on the air, it's what seems to keep him on the
