Take a Survey
and Hear a Preview!
AIO news has always come
around in waves, and this week is no exception. Not only do
we get a sneak peek at the cover art for
Welcome Home, we as fans also have an opportunity to
hear a special preview of the upcoming and
highly-anticipated
Passages: Darien's Rise release in early August. But
do you have to do anything to get to the preview? In this
instance, yes. Focus on the Family wants to hear your input
about Adventures in Odyssey, and this is your
opportunity to share. In their short survey, they'll ask you

Welcoming
"Welcome Home" Repack
Today
I'm pleased to present the latest repacked album,
Welcome Home! It has
been such a long time since we got to preview an upcoming
repack cover, but today is finally the day. It looks like
Gary Locke has displayed his talent once again, although
Whit looks strikingly more detailed than he has in previous
re-releases. Nonetheless, it's a great addition to the
repacked set of albums. We'll be releasing the tentative
release date in the future, so stay tuned!
To see a larger image, visit
our
product page.
It's by far a major improvement since this album's last
release!

Dave Arnold
and Paul McCusker TV Interview
Adventures in Odyssey
has gained so much popularity in the past few years, and
it's time to introduce the show to even more audiences!
Dave Arnold and
Paul McCusker
were recently featured on an interview with "Focus 4" on
Cornerstone Television Network (CTVN.org). In the interview,
they talk about the founding of AIO, the recording of
Adventures in Odyssey
Live! last August, the Odyssey video series, and
some very exciting news. Things are getting more hopeful for
AIO as they have announced an effort to bring Odyssey
live-action video to other countries, including India and
China. In other words, we (or they) may get to see real
actors bring AIO to life. Also shows are planned for
Spanish-speaking people. Things are cooking up and this has
the potential to take Adventures in Odyssey around
the globe... literally!
To view a one-hour interview
with both Dave Arnold and Paul McCusker, visit
CTVN's video
archive page or click
here to download the video directly. You will really
enjoy this special treat! Or, if you are unable to download
such a large file (it's over 500 mb), visit the
Unofficial Podcast's page to stream the show.

71st episode, we'll get to hear some interesting
interviews and some news about a special contest -- and it
all begins this weekend at the

Berry (voice of Marvin) answer questions about their family

Word Contest."
It's definitely been a while
since our friends at Adventures in Odyssey held a

the days ahead! So what are you waiting for? Go

It's
time for another auction on eBay! This time I'm selling both
the CD and cassette versions of "Virtual Realities." The bid
starts at only $14, so if you're interested, watch that
item! If you'd like to see a larger view of the image of
both collections,

Click here to visit our eBay listing. And as always,
I can do autographs if you're interested. Just make sure to
request it by contacting me through eBay.
In other news, I've discovered
a new
announcement by the Official Podcast regarding an
upcoming contest, and it begins this weekend! It looks like you
will have the chance to search the
Official
Site for clues and to find the secret words. Check
back to the Scoop tomorrow for another update.

Kidsboro
Today
concludes the final installment of the
Kidsboro
three-parter. From everything I have heard over the past few
weeks, the Kidsboro series is turning out to be a
highly welcomed feature to the Adventures in Odyssey
world. If you haven't heard these episodes yet, I encourage
you to sink your teeth into Kidsboro-ville (well, it's not
really a "ville") and see what the buzz is about. You can do
so by listening on the radio, or you can listen through
Focus on the Family's media center, located at their
website. Or, if you'd prefer free episode downloads
of these shows, you can get those too. Click
here to
visit our Episodes section and there you'll find links to
the downloads of each episode in the three-parter.

Welcome to
ScoopVault
I'm starting something I'd
like to call "ScoopVault," in which I periodically pull out
site features from back in the day and bring them to the
present. For today's ScoopVault, I'd like to focus your
attention on a commercial I produced several years ago
titled "Where Singles Meet." It's a commercial poking fun at
online dating websites, but in this case, the Odyssey Scoop
is the dating service:
Sometimes love comes
without a postage stamp. Are you desperate to find a spouse,
but you can't find one in the real world? Find out how you
can use the internet to your advantage to love in all the
right places. Listen to several accounts of two hearts
growing closer together in Where Singles Meet.
Looking back, it's hard to
believe I ever had time to create such a special
audio piece. So
head on
over and bring back the past! Or don't and say you
did.

Let's Get
Convenient
It's high time we did
something about all these questions, comments, and
suggestions! Many of you (yes - many!) have contacted
me over the past few months regarding obtaining individual
episodes of Adventures in Odyssey. Ever since Focus
on the Family began their new partnership with
Christian Book Distributors, almost all the episodes
are available with two to three episodes on each CD. Now,
while it's nice to be able to search for episodes by title
at CBD, it's even more convenient to find specific episodes
right here on the Odyssey Scoop and be able to quickly and
efficiently access the appropriate link over at CBD. Today
I'm happy to present a long-needed addition to our
Episodes section. From now on, as
you view episode details, you will see one of the following
buttons:
As you can see, these will
prove to be very handy and I expect a lot of questions to
diminish as the days go by. I've got a few other ideas up my
sleeve to make finding information easier, but we'll have to
wait until some other time to reveal it. For now, enjoy just
another taste of convenience here at the Odyssey Scoop. And
if you've been dying to know how you can get CDs of your
favorite adventures by ordering on the internet, you can...
and more quickly! Also you'll notice that several unreleased
episodes are available on CD. If you're a collector and must
have all the episodes you can find (ex:
Christmas Around
the World and several others), just use this new
feature to your advantage. So
go enjoy
what we've provided!
However, I must note that if
you see one of those "Not Available" buttons here on the
site, feel free to search
CBD for
yourself and try to find these missing episodes. Then send a
link to me. I searched and searched, but some episodes of
AIO fell by the wayside. It's always good to receive visitor
input. It's what keeps this site the best it can be! Will
you help?
Edit: I also added a "iTunes
Download" link on all the episodes that are available
through iTunes as well as a "Free Download" link for all
episodes available for free through the
Official Podcast.

Official
Podcast #70
It's
hard to believe we've had exactly 70 episodes of the
Official Podcast!
Time sure flies when you're having fun listening. Yesterday
they released their special treat to the fans:
Marshal Younger talks about
the Kidsboro book series and introduces a surprise guest who
inspired the books.
I've already listened to the
podcast, but I'm not going to tell you who the surprise
guest is. You'll just have to
go listen to find out who it is. As always, this
edition of the podcast is a real behind-the-scenes treat.
Listen now!
