Even Webmasters Get Hit

I have an extremely exciting praise to share with you all! Tonight we went to Swenson's to eat out, and as we were on our way home we stopped at a red light. We were sitting and waiting on the light when the familiar WHAM of a car hit us in the back. My mom, dad, and I went flying backwards and then forwards just a little, and then we realized what had happened. My dad got out of the car and asked the guy if he was okay and if he had insurance (He would later tell my mother and I that the guy's eyes were glazed as if he was drunk). He then got on the sidewalk and called the police. My mom and I remained in the car, just a little shocked. All of a sudden we heard an engine starting, my mom glanced back and screamed that the man was driving away, and my dad started to scream too. He tried to get the license number but missed the last two letters. I got out of the car and decided to look at the back of our van as I was curious, and noticed that there was a license plate on the ground as well as a bunch of broken glass or something. I didn't think anything of it as I was still in shock (or at least I think I was) and my dad shouted to get in the car. When my dad is angry, he does rash things, so he started to follow the guy AS he was talking to the police! Fortunately he stopped and pulled into the strip of stores along Midway Plaza. We got out angrily, thinking we had lost all hope of getting a justifiable ending to our story. That's when I remembered that I had gotten out of the car earlier and saw THE MAN'S LICENSE PLATE lying on the ground! The evidence was there! His license was now ours!

My dad motioned for me to go get it (wow... it was a long run) so I took off up the muddy ground and ended up at Midway Plaza's red light. From there I waited for the WALK sign to signal me across the street but in my excitement I guess I forgot you had to press the button. Finally I decided to just cross the street... a very scary thing to do. So I did. I barely made it without getting hit by a white van and a loud car horn, but I made it. God's protection was in there!

Across the street I joyfully obtained the entire license plate, including the frame by which it was encased, and set sail for the other side of the street. I remember looking at my prize before getting to the other side of the street. I ran all the way back to the strip of stores and made my way to the red van and my parents. The police came, they took the license plate from us, and we were very, very happy.

I just want to praise God that He protected us and kept us safe... It looks like we all have just a little more to be thankful for... Besides, the dog was in the car with us.
