the following appears in the old "Complete Guide to Adventures in Odyssey":

Note: Over the years, hundreds of actors and actresses have appeared in
the "Adventures in Odyssey" radio drama, playing roles both
large and small. We attempted to contact each person, but over time some
people have moved. In the interest of privacy, others prefer not to be
included in this book. Therefore, this is not a complete listing of the
actors and actresses who have been the voices of "Adventures in
Odyssey."
Fortunately, for you, that Editor's Note
doesn't apply to Maxim's character. The actor who played Maxim is none other
than Hal Smith, the original voice of
John Avery Whittaker!
