Hal Smith

Hal Smith was on the show from the beginning and played John Avery Whittaker. Unfortunately, Hal passed away in 1994 and AIO was lost without him. Jack Allen and Jason Whittaker resulted, and later, a new Whit, played by Paul Herlinger. Hal was most known as Otis Campbell on "The Andy Griffith Show." Fans grew to love Mr. Whittaker.
